1. When did you start martial arts, and what motivated you to begin?

As a child, I had a brief experience with Karate and decided to revisit it as an adult. However, there were no Karate centre in the area where I lived, so I ended up visiting a Taekwondo gym instead. From the very first day, I was completely captivated by the dynamic and powerful kicks of Taekwondo.

Although I tried training at a Karate centre a few more times afterward, I had already fallen in love with Taekwondo. This passion eventually led me to where I am today, serving as the Head Instructor of Revolution Martial Arts Taekwondo.

2. What made you decide to become a instructor?

I have always enjoyed sharing and teaching what I know to others. Teaching Taekwondo began in the same way.

Teaching those who love Taekwondo, something I am passionate about, has become the most important part of my life and is something I wouldn’t trade for anything.

3. What are your goals as a Instructor or personal aspirations?

In my younger years, everyone wanted to compete. I trained alongside most of the students at the gym, sweating through sparring and poomsae competitions, and at that time, that was my only goal.

However, in today's generation, more people aim to go beyond just the competitions and seek to transform their lives positively through Taekwondo. My current goal is to help many families find happiness through the proper education of Taekwondo.

4. What message would you like to share with your students?

Giving up is the easiest thing to do, and anyone can do it. We must become someone who is not just anyone.

It takes 4 years to earn a black belt in Taekwondo and 10 years in Jiu-Jitsu. I believe that those who earn their black belts can live a victorious life. They all have the experience of victory because they persevered and endured to reach the black belt. Never give up!

5. What advice would you give to someone hesitating to start martial arts?

If you don't try, you'll never know. New attempts and opportunities will lead you to a new journey.

I was born in 1947, and I am still teaching classes and participating in competitions. When I first wore the white belt, I never imagined I would come this far. Since I did it, I believe you can too.

Don't hesitate, give it a try. I hope you begin this journey with the people you love, doing the Taekwondo you love. Revolution is waiting for you and your family.
