1. When did you start martial arts, and what motivated you to begin?
I started Taekwondo when I was in kindergarten in Korea. My older brother began practicing Taekwondo first, and I was really fascinated by the belt he wore. I wanted to have one too, so I decided to start Taekwondo myself. His influence played a big part in motivating me to get into it.
2. What made you decide to become a instructor?
I decided to become a coach because Taekwondo has been a big part of my life since I was young. I’ve worked hard to improve my skills over the years, and I wanted to share that knowledge and help others grow in the same way.
3. What are your goals as an Instructor or personal aspirations?
My goal as an instructor is to find better ways to motivate and inspire my students, and to make a positive impact on their lives through Taekwondo. Personally, my aspiration is to continue improving as an athlete, participating in competitions and pushing myself to reach higher levels of performance. I also aim to inspire others through my journey and help them realise their potential as a coach.
4. What message would you like to share with your students?
Believe in yourself and keep pushing forward, even when it’s tough. Every step you take brings you closer to your goals.
5. What advice would you give to someone hesitating to start martial arts?
Just come and try a trial class first, and then you can decide whether or not to join. It is better to try than to do nothing.
6. What certifications or competition titles have you achieved?
